Jamaican and students from other Caribbean countries with high grades in CAPE, G.C.E Advanced Level subjects and persons doing Associate Degrees are invited to apply for international scholarships being offered to Jamaicans to study at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in Illinois U.S.A starting in August 2011.

Presidential Scholarship Application Process
Illinois Institute of Technology is a private, independent, Ph.D. granting, co-educational research university founded in 1890. Illinois Institute of Technology offers today's students a superb education in engineering, business, architecture, the sciences, psychology, the humanities, and applied technology in an environment geared toward the undergraduate student. The Presidential Scholarship is offered to “scholarly” Sixth Form A Level Certificate and Associate Degree students in the Caribbean. ii) A letter of support from someone within their professional
network/sphere which speaks to their work involvement as well as
their short-term professional goals. ( This is required for students
who are currently employed).
iii) A Presidential Scholarship Application essay - "Describe the importance of
the role community -based organizations play in developing a pipeline in
STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), and provide specific
examples of how you might contribute to community outreach.
iv) A letter of support from your former school principal and or a teacher.
v) An Official Transcript
